Commercial Litigation Associate Guildford – £62,000 - £75,000

Our client's dynamic and expanding commercial litigation team is seeking a skilled and motivated commercial litigator at the NQ-6 Year PQE level. Located in the heart of Guildford, the firm values flexibility and work-life balance, offering hybrid working arrangements with an average of 2-3 days a week in the office, and a range of benefits including private medical, travel allowance and a generous bonus scheme. This opportunity is initially advertised as full-time; however, we are open to discussing part-time arrangements for the right candidate.

The flourishing commercial litigation team consists of 5 partners and 9 dedicated lawyers, making them one of the premier contentious law practices in the South East, outside London. Praised for their excellence, they hold high rankings in both Chambers and the Legal 500, alongside recognition as a National Leading Practice in Chambers.

They engage with a diverse array of clients, ranging from individual entrepreneurs to globally recognized corporations. Their international footprint is significant, and they regularly collaborate with firms across different jurisdictions. The practice is not limited to intricate High Court litigations and international arbitrations, but also encompasses strategic advisory on risk management and claims avoidance.

The successful candidate will work closely with a partner on various cases, take the lead in managing them, and contribute as a valued member of larger case teams.

Qualifications and Experience The ideal candidate is passionate and eager to tackle a wide variety of commercial dispute resolutions, has experience with commercial contract disputes, and demonstrates: 0 - 6 Years PQE Impressive academics and robust experience, ideally from a City or national/regional practice Clear, confident communication Effective teamwork and interpersonal skills Outstanding technical and drafting prowess with exceptional attention to detail A high motivation level and dependability Both independent case management skills and collaborative team play Astute commercial judgement Direct and personable client engagement with excellent service focus Proactive involvement in business development activities within the team and firm-wide
