Founded in 1990, we are a niche practice concentrating exclusively on commercial and business law. About a third of the work is dispute resolution. Our aim is to provide all the legal services needed by small and medium-sized businesses. Clients vary in size from individuals and family companies to UK subsidiaries of multinational and offshore companies.
Our offices are in a modern air-conditioned building with on-site parking, located in a business park overlooking woodlands. Several industrial estates are nearby.
While much of the work is local, the practice attracts clients from all over the UK and abroad. The practice has the experience and ability to deal with high-value, complex commercial litigation. Any candidate is expected to have the intellectual ability to tackle a wide range of work and the interest and willingness to explore and develop new skills.
This position will see you manage a diverse array of litigation matters on behalf of business clients from instruction to conclusion. Current matters include:
Sale and purchase of goods and services
Landlord and tenant claims for rent, dilapidations, and possession
Claims for breach of warranty
Breach of copyright, design rights, and patents
Shareholders disputes
Building and construction disputes

Breach of contracts for the supply of services
Boundary and party wall disputes
Regulatory and planning disputes

Negligence

It is expected that you will manage the dispute resolution team with the support of a senior experienced paralegal and a director.
The role has arisen owing to the firm’s considerable success and its longer-term planning. Succession is very much an option for an ambitious solicitor.
Salary and benefits will be competitive and in line with experience.
