Are you experienced in drafting and reviewing contracts? Do you have experience in identifying, qualifying and managing complex commercial risks? Are you able to demonstrate your ability to prepare business cases and/or bid justifications? Working within the Currency division of De La Rue on a global platform, and under the direction of the Head of Commercial Management, the Commercial Manager will be a key participant in the decision-making process on customer transactions and will negotiate and manage complex international contracting frameworks. The successful candidate will also be responsible for providing pragmatic advice on commercial and business risk issues to other business units within our Currency division and will positively contribute and help to drive improvements within the Commercial function. Key Responsibilities

Provide commercial guidance and direction for the deal qualification phase, identifying commercial opportunities and risks Lead commercial responses in bids and proposals, including the review of customer terms and conditions, ensuring appropriate stakeholder engagement and input Produce commercial approval documentation required for governance process Support enquiry/tender and lead order/contract review meetings, and raise commercial issues with the sales team for presentation to the customer Manage and negotiate commercial agreements proficiently, collaborating with Sales and Customer stakeholders Provide contract baseline reviews and provision of advice and guidance on customer contracts during the complete order/project cycle Identify commercial risks and mitigating options and assist the business with identifying scope and delivery risks and mitigations Identify and optimise revenue opportunities and support change management Share commercial best practice and approaches with the business in order to maintain compliance to De La Rue’s governance policy Contribute to the ongoing development of procedures required for more effective ways of working Contract type

Basingstoke, Hampshire Skills, Qualifications & Experience

University Degree in Law, Business or Finance-related preferable, or equivalent work experience Accurate contract drafter/reviewer Demonstrable skills in the construction and analysis of commercial business models Experience of identifying, quantifying and managing complex commercial risks Commercial acumen in preparation of business cases and/or bid justification Extensive knowledge of contract and related law Solid understanding of financial principles Self-motivated and ability to work confidently under pressure Proven experience of private/public contracting and international contracting advantageous Proficient in MS Word; solid use of MS Excel and PowerPoint Business level languages desirable but not essential About De La Rue
