It has an excellent reputation, and this role will see you play a leading part in the delivery of the commercial side of a range of construction refurbishment and maintenance projects. Job Description The Commercial Manager is responsible for overseeing contract management, management of cost consulting services, budgeting, and forecasting, while ensuring compliance with industry standards. The position manages supply chain processes and supports the successful delivery of capital projects ensuring value for money. The Commercial Manager is responsible for identifying opportunities for cost-saving, new revenue streams, and investment decisions, contributing to strategic business planning and overall project success. Managing contracts following JCT (Joint Contracts Tribunal) and NEC (New Engineering Contract) standards. This role involves supporting the implementation of the NHS Net Zero standard into capital projects. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal teams, external partners, and key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes. Partner closely with capital design and delivery teams to provide supply chain support and ensure seamless integration of project requirements. The Successful Applicant Either a Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (or working towards), or Chartered Institute of Building (or working towards) or another relevant professional qualification. Degree qualified in a related discipline such as construction management, finance, quantity surveying, or construction cost management. Good working knowledge of NEC and JCT suite of contracts and associated. Specialist knowledge of capital project commercial management arrangements and ability to act as a main source of expertise in this area. Excellent communication, interpersonal, organisational, and presentation skills. Effective time management. Ability to motivate staff at different levels within the organisation and to develop collaborative working across the organisation. Ability to think laterally and innovatively and generate and implement ideas. Enthusiastic and committed to getting the best out of staff, encouraging development and innovation. Self-motivated and able to motivate others.
