About the Team P&C plays a key role in delivering all aspects of Transport for London’s obligations and the Mayor of London’s Transport Strategy. It is our responsibility to plan, strategize and procure every essential component that TfL needs to deliver the millions of journeys that take place on our network each day. The Roles London Trams Background London Trams is part of the TfL Group and responsible for the tram network in Croydon, Wimbledon, Beckenham and New Addington. Fleet The Commercial Manager positions are focused on pre & post contract management within the P&C team in London Underground Fleet, responsible for procuring and managing a portfolio of high value, high profile and complex supply contracts. Infrastructure These Commercial Manager roles support the Infrastructure part of Operations, responsible for a diverse portfolio of categories. London Trams We are currently seeking Operational Commercial Managers to work alongside the maintenance managers for various contracts. Rail and Sponsored Services This is an opportunity to join the Outsourced Operations team that owns the end-to-end sourcing and contract management processes for a broad portfolio. Indirects Join TfL's Indirects Procurement Team to source a diverse array of goods and services. Key Accountabilities The roles may entail pre and post contract or be solely post contract, the list below covers both aspects: Collate customer requirements and specifications. Utilise e-procurement tools, templates and standard forms of contract. Prepare appropriate forms of contract. Identifying, assessing and reducing potential risks. Planning, delivering and managing all procurement activities. Management of cost analysis, benchmarking, estimating and cost planning. Management of construction, engineering, supply and service contracts. Preparation of detailed analysis of variances. Formulation of negotiation parameters. Management of claims. Chairing performance meetings with suppliers. Supporting delivery of organisational and personal development programmes. Liaising with third party funders and developers. Skills, Knowledge & Experience Skills: Procurement Management - Ability to plan, deliver and manage all procurement activities - (Essential) Contract Management - Understanding of various forms of contract - (Essential) Strong negotiation skills - (Essential) Stakeholder and supplier relationship skills - (Essential) Advanced level of numeracy and data analysis skills - (Essential) Knowledge: Knowledge of NEC and forms of contract - (Essential) Experience: Extensive experience of various commercial activities - (Essential) Equality, diversity and inclusion We are committed to equality, diversity and inclusion.
