Commercial Manager An Introduction to who we are Since 2004, Projuice has supplied premium, pre-portioned food and beverage concepts to thousands of outlets throughout the UK. Despite the numerous global and market challenges faced, we’ve experienced continued growth over the years. This has led to the expansion of our own fleet of frozen delivery vans and drivers alongside a new delivery depot in Reading that supports our head office in Exeter. It’s exciting times ahead with potential expansion plans to introduce a third depot in the north of England. With an annual turnover of £5m, we are looking to secure and expand our market share through continued investment to capture more customers who can experience the personal service and premium products we have to offer. The Role We are seeking an experienced commercially minded individual to plan, manage and execute strategies within the day-to-day running of Projuice as we move into an exciting period of growth. You’ll be well supported by our friendly professional team who have been key to our success. Their experience and knowledge will be crucial in understanding the different aspects of the business as well as supporting the future plans and strategies that are being implemented. This is a key role with a commercial involvement in the progression and growth of our business. It has a diverse and expansive involvement in the financial, commercial and operational functions as well as an oversight of sales and marketing. The role is primarily based at the Exeter Head Office with travel to the current and any future regional depot(s) as and when required. Core Responsibilities Demonstrating clear commercial leadership and passion through the day-to-day aspects of the business. Managing and overseeing the commercial and financial functions of the business whilst maintaining an overview of sales, marketing and operations to ensure a balance between all aspects and teams. Commercially structuring, developing, guiding and supporting the Management Team and staff, whilst fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability. Providing a dynamic and hands-on approach in operational areas as and when required. Establishing and monitoring the company's and team's targets and objectives. Developing plans and timescales for the strategic growth of the business. Assisting in driving business development initiatives to expand market presence and enhance profitability. Overseeing the preparation of monthly management accounts and associated analysis in line with an agreed format, structure and timescale. Maintaining supply chain relationships, reviewing product development and challenging commercial arrangements where necessary. Reviewing, analysing and establishing product pricing and margins. Challenging and reviewing stock forecasts and product costs whilst considering variables such as shipping trends, fruit harvests and seasonality. Management of company assets and overheads including depots and the company team structure. Reviewing and monitoring the IT systems and performance to ensure they are up to date, robust and fully supported. Ensuring all statutory documentation and processes are in place, i.e. health & safety, fire risk, confirmation statements, tax returns, etc. Ideal Experience: Exceptional leadership skills. A strong commercial, financial and operational background. Identifying and managing risks within the commercial, financial and operational functions of business. Formulating business and operational strategies and co-ordinating them through to completion. Ideal Attributes: Team Focused Pro-active and self-motivating.
