experience to be based in the North East working with a leading contractor that operates across the UK. This role involves working for a Senior Commercial Manager, managing an Assistant Commercial Manager and supporting the National

Highways

Framework Delivery Management team. Your role will be responsible for reviewing and analysing cost and value reports, assisting with project budgetary control and forecasting as well as producing information to inform the project managers and wider team. In addition, you will be responsible for managing the production of applications for payment, assessing Early Warnings / Compensation Events and managing supplier accounts, all whilst maintaining strong, professional and effective working relationships with internal colleagues and the Client. You will work closely with the General Manager to help prepare internal budgets and quarterly reviews, as well as recording, assessing and reviewing risks, both at project and contract level. You will support the Assistant Commercial Manager in implementing day to day commercial management activities on a target cost and time charge NEC4 contract. There may be a requirement for some travel between offices on occasion. Duties/Responsibilities

Develop the commercial team. Manage and maintain our relationship with National

Highways

and subcontractors. Manage subcontractor accounts in line with agreed subcontract agreements and processes for certification, payment and liability. Manage all aspects of subcontract procurement and order value uplifts. Support the operational team in ensuring all commercial entitlements are realised and all contractual notices and early warnings are submitted within the required timescales through the preparation of appropriate documentation in relation to variations, claims, additional payments etc. Manage payments and WIP. Input into the monthly reporting cycle. Input into budgets, forecasting and monthly reconciliations. Prepare final account statements ensuring all value has been invoiced prior to submission. Review and update the Account Risk Register. Requirements

experience (min 3 years recent) A Commercial related Degree qualification (RICS accredited or equivalent) is desirable, or able to demonstrate a proven track record in quantity surveying / financial cost control in either a Contractor or PQS environment Suitable experience in a similar Commercial Manager role Membership of an appropriate professional institution Have or be working towards a relevant professional qualification Good computer skills especially MS Excel (essential) and Word Ability to work under pressure, to time-manage, set priorities and work to strict deadlines Experience in providing commercial support to design and consulting and/or
