We are on the hunt for a talented and driven Commercial Manager to steer the commercial success of various social housing contracts across the South East. This role zeroes in on retrofit and energy efficiency projects, demanding a blend of expertise and passion for excellence.
Key Responsibilities for Commercial Manager
Commercial Oversight:
Manage commercial aspects across multiple social housing contracts, ensuring profitability and adherence to contractual terms. Cost Control & Procurement:
Lead efforts in cost management, procurement, and contract administration to optimize value for the client. Strategic Implementation:
Develop and execute effective commercial strategies for retrofit and sustainability projects. Relationship Building:
Foster strong relationships with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery. Reporting & Risk Management:
Provide comprehensive commercial reporting, forecasting, and risk assessment. Team Leadership:
Mentor and lead a team of Quantity Surveyors and commercial professionals, promoting their continuous professional growth.
Essential Qualifications/Skills for Commercial Manager
Education:
Degree in Quantity Surveying (QS) or Commercial Management, or equivalent. Membership in RICS or similar is a plus. Experience:
Proven track record in a commercial leadership role, preferably in social housing or public sector contracts. Retrofit Expertise:
Deep understanding of retrofit projects and energy-efficient construction methods. Skills:
Strong negotiation, analytical, and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and contracts effectively.
