Salary:

Circa £60,000 commensurate with skills and experience

What you’ll be doing:

Work directly for the Products Head of Commercial to specifically focus on the early stages of campaign strategy across the Products group within the BAE Systems Maritime Services business unit

Work closely with our Business Development managers and the business sector leads to develop and deliver the Commercial aspects of the campaign strategy

Provide hands on commercial knowledge and experience, built on a background of competitive and directed tenders for both domestic and export bids and programmes

Support the development and delivery of the overall campaign strategy with a strong focus on route to contract, negotiation strategies, pricing strategies and ultimately margin and scope growth

Be seen as one of the senior members of the Products commercial team and play an active role in the management and development of the overall commercial team

Develop, maintain excellent working relationships with both internal and external customers and stakeholders

Have established and strong commercial/contractual skills gained from a commercial career in the defence or adjacent industries

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

Established Commercial background within the military/defence/aerospace sector for both UK MOD and export customers

Ideally the candidate can demonstrate examples of how they have significantly played a part in the development and delivery of commercial strategy, through an in-depth professional knowledge of Commercial principles, techniques and practices

Self-motivated and comfortable with working in a holistic strategic environment but able to independently identify and deliver objectives

Strong analytical and numerical skills and proficient with all Microsoft Office products

Confident presenting and communication skills
