Overall Job Purpose

To assist with the drafting of Business Agreements, Terms of Business and Non-Disclosure Agreements

Key Responsibilities

To review and amend contractual documentation

To support the business in managing legal relationships, including managing engagement agreements and reviewing legal invoices

To support the business in managing external supplier relationships, including managing engagement agreements

Legal administration including legal record keeping

Proof reading and checking forms and documents for accuracy

Monitoring of compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements affecting the business, and to provide advice and guidance to management of upcoming legislative and regulatory changes

To support and maintain a contract template library

To support key opportunities to help identify and support contracting strategy to mitigate risk, whilst providing a smooth and efficient contract process with customers

Experience Required

3-5 years’ experience as a commercial paralegal; must have experience in commercial contracts

Professional and precise written and verbal communication skills with both internal and external customers

Must be a strong communicator with a positive, can-do attitude, comfortable translating legal requirements into layman terms for managers

Must have intermediate abilities in using MS Office suite

Must be able to demonstrate the ability to work effectively without supervision and to meet deadlines

Precision and accuracy with a pragmatic approach are essential

Common sense and the ability to use one’s own initiative are fundamental requirements of this role

The successful candidate must be educated to degree level, preferably with a law degree
