COMMERCIAL SOLICITOR - INTERNATIONAL LAW FIRM - NEWCASTLE
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Commercial Solicitor to join an international law firm in Newcastle.
Join a dynamic and diverse team that represents an impressive range of FTSE 100 and FTSE 250 clients, public sector organisations, educational institutions, and industry bodies. This role offers the chance to work on high-profile, business-critical projects and regulatory matters, contributing to the growth and success of the firms impressive client base.
You will be advising on a full range of contractual arrangements associated with strategic projects and day-to-day business across various industries. The team has a particular focus on advanced manufacturing, life sciences, energy transition, and decarbonisation projects. You will be involved in contract strategy, drafting and negotiation, data protection (supported by privacy specialists), and risk management.
Not only will you be able to work alongside nationally recognised leaders and sector specialists across a broad range of industries, including advanced manufacturing, aerospace and defence, and international trade, but you will also have the opportunity to collaborate with US colleagues on international transactions and projects. You will be able to engage with a mix of clients, from multi-national corporations to rapidly expanding scale-up businesses and SMEs.
Ideally, you will have a minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience in commercial contracts, and have excellent drafting and communication skills. Experience in tech, IP, and data protection is beneficial but not essential. Import and export experience is highly advantageous, but again not essential.
