Commissioning/Software Engineer Established Respected Company Competitive Rates of Pay 40-hour weeks Excellent working environment Overtime Available Our client based in Nelson is looking for an established Electrical Commissioning and Software Engineer on a permanent basis. The client is a well-respected manufacturer looking for candidates with experience in carrying out the commissioning of plants and equipment. The role will consist of site and office work. The Job Plan, organise and carry out the commissioning of plants and equipment. Projects will consist of in-office design, creating parts lists, electrical schematics, and device layouts. Create and write software and HMI programs before going to site for commissioning. About You Qualified to a minimum ONC in Electrical Engineering. HNC or equivalent preferred or a very experienced control systems engineer. AutoCAD experience would be advantageous although not essential. Experienced in PLC ladder logic programming essential. PLC experience with Allen Bradley, Siemens, and/or Mitsubishi. Full project experience from software writing and pre-commissioning to full site installation, commissioning, and handover. Create parts lists, schematics, and device layouts. You will be working in a hands-on environment and must be able to help test, fault-find, and correct equipment prior to commissioning.
