Commissioning Electrician Advert We are seeking to appoint a Commissioning Electrician to join a stable team in Dartford, covering London and Kent. Specialising in commissioning electrical installations. This role is vital in ensuring the functionality and compliance of pumping systems, including level controllers, flow meters, inverters, control valves, generators, and Programmable Logic Controllers. Reporting to the Electrical Manager, the position involves extensive collaboration, troubleshooting, and mentoring to support the team's development while delivering high-quality solutions to customers. Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Commission electrical installations for pumping systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company specifications. Perform functional testing of systems, troubleshoot issues, and resolve discrepancies to meet customer requirements. Document commissioning activities, including test results, configurations, and parameters, and maintain accurate records on the internal intranet for future reference. Provide customers with job handovers, including safe system operation training and commissioning documentation. Collaborate with colleagues across disciplines to develop and implement complex control solutions tailored to client needs. Continuously update knowledge of industry standards, codes, and practices through company-provided workshops and training. Mentor electricians and apprentices, sharing expertise to foster professional growth and promote a culture of learning. Familiarise yourself with new equipment and train team members on its safe and correct usage. Support the development of commissioning plans for new projects, contributing to enhanced service delivery. Ensure compliance with electrical installation safety regulations and company policies during all commissioning activities. Flexibility to travel to job sites, work outside regular hours, and stay overnight for large commissioning projects when required. Skills & Experience Required:

Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including motors, controllers, and instrumentation, with practical experience with 3 phase systems. Skilled in interpreting electrical schematics and wiring diagrams to deliver actionable solutions. Proficient in drafting detailed commissioning reports and tailoring them to various audiences. Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to solve complex technical challenges. Knowledge of safety standards and regulations, including BS 7671, BS EN 60204, and Health and Safety at Work Act. NVQ Level 3 qualification in electrical installation or equivalent. ECS card holder (installer standard) and proven experience in electrical commissioning. Experience with PLCs, HMIs, and control system integration, with familiarity with energy efficiency principles. Effective communication skills and a proven ability to mentor and develop team members. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities. Driving Licence and willing to travel across London and Kent as the role requires. Qualifications:

C&G 2382 - 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations C&G 2391 - Inspection Testing & Certification JIB Registered (ECS Card Holder) Preferred:
