Relevant technical education:
Electrical Engineering Degree/HNC desirable or equivalent. Certification:
Valid National Grid Persons (Substations) certification is desirable but not essential. Site Access:
Valid CSCS/Safety Passport/SHEA Power required to get on site at the Onshore Converter Substation. Experience:
Proven Electrical Commissioning Engineer in a MV/HV substation (Client or Contractor role). Knowledge:
Testing Alarms/Controls/Indications from a range of Substation Equipment to SCADA Systems. Commissioning Knowledge:
Commissioning of LV/MV/HV Switchgear and associated components. Protection Relays:
Knowledge of Micom/GE protection relays including IEC61850/Goose communications is desirable. Experience with BMS Systems:

Understanding of HV Safety Rules. Self-starter:
With planning/coordination and problem-solving abilities. Technical Support:
Provide technical support for Project Senior Authorised Persons and M&E Engineers. Assistance:
Provide assistance for the Client Onshore Commissioning Engineer (Lead) and SCADA Commissioning Engineer. Reporting:
Accurate weekly reporting and record keeping on Progress and Issues to the Client Onshore Commissioning Engineer (Lead). Liaison:
Liaise with Engineering and Quality Departments to ensure Outstanding Engineering/Quality Issues are resolved. Interface:
Interface with Export Cable and Offshore Substation Commissioning activities. Record Keeping:
