Commissioning Engineer focuses on supporting the commissioning and testing of synchronous condenser equipment and associated systems.

What the role involves

  • Supporting the commissioning and testing of synchronous condenser equipment and associated systems.
  • Carry out pre-commissioning, functional testing, system checks and energisation activities.
  • Work closely with site management, engineering, construction and client teams to ensure safe and efficient commissioning delivery.
  • Test packs, permits, method statements and technical documentation.
  • Resolve technical issues during commissioning and start-up activities.
  • Ensure all commissioning works are completed in line with project specifications, safety standards and quality requirements.

Skills and requirements

  • Previous experience as a Commissioning Engineer on energy, power generation, substation, HV, grid or industrial projects.
  • Strong understanding of commissioning processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics and commissioning procedures.
  • Experience working on live construction or energisation environments.
