General Responsibility To commission, modify, troubleshoot, and support related equipment at customer locations or where needed, while ensuring that the highest quality of work is provided. Must be able to travel 80% of the time to project locations for extended periods. Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Commissioning of automated controls for supplied or modified equipment in a timely and professional manner. Develop and deliver on-site testing (function, integration, and capacity). Report and follow up on open points (JIRA). Ensure implementation and handover of the final approved system and transfer to Hotline. Installation/adjustment of electrical & mechanical equipment – as required. Handover to the customer. Remote technical support for customers as assigned. Interpret circuit diagrams and layout drawings for installation and/or troubleshooting purposes. Interface with BEUMER software team during commissioning and troubleshooting. Develop and maintain an effective professional relationship with customers and/or project personnel. Communicate commissioning/troubleshooting activities to the appropriate personnel in a timely and professional manner. Travel domestically 80% of the time. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications
Required Skills / Qualifications 5-7 years of experience as a Field Service Engineer or equivalent Electro/Mechanical skills. Similar roles in logistics and/or material handling equipment; Automation Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Electrician or similar background. HNC Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Ability to interpret circuit diagrams. Siemens S7, Ladder and STL programs. Ability to troubleshoot. Remote software handling. Basic database functionality. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Professionalism. Excellent time management ability. Construction Site H&S experience. Must hold a driving license. Flexibility will be required as there will be night, weekend work and some call-outs to suit the customer requirements. Ideally the candidate will be situated in the Heathrow, Midlands or North West.
