Growth potential. Overview: We are seeking a highly capable commissioning engineer who is detail-oriented, organized, and has experience managing projects to join our dynamic organization. In this position, you will play a key role in the long-term client relationship maintenance of our organization. You will also oversee financial budgets, coordinate teammates, and manage commissioning deliverables. You will provide leadership and management to commissioning projects with long-standing clients. Strong communication skills, leadership, business acumen, and experience are required to aid in the long-term sustainability and success of our company. Commissioning Project Manager Duties and Responsibilities: Conduct inspections and functional testing of systems to deliver the expected results. Script writing experience. Coordinate with installation teams. Lead commissioning teams. Compile and plan budgets, cost estimates, and other financial estimates. Coordinate, plan, and manage commissioning schedules. Experience working with the construction team: architect, engineers, and trade workers. Provide contract reporting. Oversee and supervise commissioning project progress and provide reports on timeline, progress, and adjustments. Ensure that projects are completed within the agreed-upon schedule and budget. Strong interpersonal and management abilities to build consensus and lead commissioning projects. Present potential opportunities, scenarios, and possible outcomes to the construction team. Understand the big picture while managing the day-to-day financial details. Experience with construction codes, LEED, WELL is a plus. Experience developing proposals is a plus. Coordinate changes and be willing to adapt if necessary. Commissioning Project Manager Requirements and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in construction management, construction science, engineering, or related field from an accredited university. Additional degrees or certifications are a plus. 10+ years of prior experience as an MEP coordinator for construction manager or in a related technical position in the construction field as an alternative to a Bachelor’s degree. Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently. Flexibility to adjust to changing construction schedules and to periodically accommodate off-hour testing activities. Ability to travel to various project sites for field-related activities including overnight stays when necessary. Accurate and precise attention to detail. Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions. In-depth understanding of the construction industry. Self-motivated and self-directed. Computer Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office; Microsoft Project and experience with Project Management software. Knowledge of local, state, and federal building code regulations. Able to build solid relationships with team members, vendors, and customers. 10+ years of experience in commissioning, construction, engineering, and/or project management. Demonstrated creative and critical thinking skills. Ability to work on multiple high-value projects simultaneously/able to manage multiple projects. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Professional Engineer license.
