We are looking to recruit a Committee Coordinator to work in our Governance and Scrutiny team. Your role will be to help ensure that the Council operates efficiently, effectively, and lawfully as a democratic body by supporting its public meetings, decision-making, and democratic and civic processes. The role involves arranging meetings, coordinating and publishing agendas, clerking meetings, writing accurate minutes, and providing procedural and constitutional advice to members and officers. You will be working with residents, councillors, partners, and officers from across the Council. You will need to be an excellent communicator, have strong writing skills and an eye for detail, and be able to work to tight deadlines. Familiarity with Modern.Gov, Office 365, Teams or Zoom, and experience of the decision-making, administrative and governance processes of local authorities are advantages. We have flexible working policies including working from home. The job requires working some evenings. Our mission is to be the best council.
