Job overview

NHS Devon is looking for a motivated and creative communications and engagement specialist to join our busy, friendly team. If you are creative, can manage multiple priorities, and love connecting with people to inspire action, this is the perfect opportunity for you. You will use your skills to support people online with great advice and written information, meet people in person at events across the county and capture compelling stories through the use of video and photography, clear and concise writing, and eye-catching design. You don’t need to have experience of working in the NHS, but you will need to be able to demonstrate your commitment to understanding the health and wellbeing challenges faced by local people, and how communications and public engagement can help tackle these challenges. You will provide support to the communications and engagement team on digital projects, event management and engagement across a range of channels using mixed formats, including written text, images, videos and audio. You will bring well-developed communications and engagement skills to facilitate efficient and effective communications, contributing to best-practice engagement activity, removing barriers and successfully engaging with internal and external stakeholder groups. So, if you share our passion for people and want to make a positive change to their health and health services then we want to hear from you. Main duties of the job
