We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in

Newry, Mourne and Down

to assist with the appointment of a

Communications and Marketing Officer , on a

2-month contract , highly likely to be extended at client's discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration. Rate of Pay:

£16.25 - £20.45 per Hour Responsibilities: To contribute to the provision of a Communications and Marketing service across the Council to ensure the delivery against agreed corporate and service-specific Communications and Marketing objectives and targets. To support Managers and Officers across the Council, in relation to the development and implementation of effective Communications and Marketing strategies. To contribute to the development and implementation of emergency communications plans to provide accurate, timely and consistent information. To contribute as required to the preparation of financial estimates and business plans for the Communications and Marketing Section and to assist with the management and control of the Communications and Marketing budget ensuring services are delivered within allocated budgets. To participate in the preparation of business cases, tenders and quotations in line with financial and procurement regulations, policies and procedures and corporate timescales. Qualifications: Degree level qualification in a relevant discipline i.e. Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, Digital or Visual Communications. At least 1 year proven experience working in a high volume, corporate communications environment. Please note: You should be available to work immediately or at short notice.
