We are looking for a volunteer to support the busy communications team at SWT. Detailed description

This is a varied role which will involve supporting teams across the Trust, with the opportunity to creatively input to a variety of work such as campaigns, events, and social media posts. The Comms team is responsible for communicating about the work we do across the whole organisation – from land and reserves management, major projects, campaigning, fundraising, engagement, and events to name a few – across a range of different offline and digital channels. We are increasingly focused on digital marketing which, while brilliant at reaching our target audiences and getting them on board with our work, is time-consuming in terms of content creation and collecting analytics for informing ongoing work. We are looking for someone who enjoys being organised, is quick to get the hang of processes, and who wants to dive into the digital world to either learn new skills or apply those already acquired. Somerset Wildlife Trust is one of 46 Wildlife Trusts working across the UK. We are a science-led movement focused on restoring habitats to support a wide range of wildlife and restore natural processes that are essential for healthy landscapes, providing vital services such as clean air and water, food, carbon absorption, and flood alleviation.
