We are looking for an enthusiastic Communications Undergraduate Associate to join our team at Illumina, Europe. Based in Cambridge UK, you will provide support across all our communications activity – press office, events, social media, internal communication. You must be studying at a UK university to apply for this position. About us We have established ourselves as the global leader in DNA sequencing and array-based technologies through our focus on innovation, serving customers in the research, clinical, and applied markets. We currently facilitate a myriad of processes in the life sciences, oncology, reproductive health, agriculture, and other emerging segments. The role This role is a 12-month internship starting in July 2025, finishing July 2026. Based at our offices in Granta Park, Cambridge. Our programme focuses on meaningful project work, professional and personal development, in addition to providing networking opportunities. Role and Responsibilities As our Communications Associate you will have a great opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of communications within a global leader in the scientific and healthcare space. You’ll work across the breadth of our teams across our Europe business, developing stories to serve internal and external communications. Your ability to interview, write and communicate in an engaging passionate way will be key, as well as a talent for identifying great stories to celebrate success and help support recognition of colleagues. Outstanding listening, verbal, and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of colleagues at all levels. Efficient time management skills with the ability to stay focused on primary business objectives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Self-motivated with ability to work independently, using own initiative. The Selection Process Submit application before 7th February 2025 to be considered. Longlisted candidates will be invited to submit a written piece of work. Shortlisted candidates must be available to interview March 2025 onwards.
