Communications Associate Leading Hedge Fund West End Permanent, 1-2 days WFH Up to 60K depending on experience 2-Comms/MK About the Client: A leading global hedge fund with around 100 employees in London. About the Communications Associate role: An opportunity for someone who is looking to build on existing PR/communications experience and progress their career in a stimulating and challenging environment. Reporting to the International Media Relations Director and working with a tight-knit global team, responsibilities will include: Media monitoring, including pulling together clips of news events, summarising information and providing succinct summaries of daily news. Supporting the team to respond to incoming media enquiries and handling requests from the media. Drafting press releases, briefing notes, editing copy and proofreading. Mapping out conference landscapes and identifying possible speaking opportunities. Preparation of presentations and supporting on creative projects. Building relationships both internally and externally - liaising with investment professionals and departments in addition to external vendors, PR agencies and creative partners. Administrative support to include scheduling events/meetings and calls, monitoring emails and building and maintaining journalist databases across geographies. Other duties as required. Experience and Skills required: Prior communications experience from a financial PR agency or in-house environment is preferable. Candidates with corporate PR experience from other industries will be considered. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Degree-educated (or equivalent). Ability to manage a high-volume, creative, fast-paced workload and meet a variety of deadlines. Flexible and team-oriented attitude - "no task is too small". Strong relationship-builder; trustworthy, discreet and positive. Proficiency in Microsoft Office - particularly Word, PowerPoint and Outlook. Familiarity with social media and business information platforms e.g., Factiva would be ideal. Other Information: The opportunity to work for one of the most reputable hedge funds in the world, with collaborative and non-hierarchical colleagues. Core hours 9am-6pm with flexibility to work early/late hours and weekend work when essential. Competitive salary up to c depending on prior experience.
