They have an exciting opportunity and are looking to appoint a talented senior Communications & Engagement Lead to spearhead their communication efforts to drive impactful engagement both internally and externally. As the Communications & Engagement Lead, you will be at the forefront of developing and implementing comprehensive communication strategies and work closely with the Communications and Senior Leadership Teams to ensure their messaging is consistent and impactful. Your key responsibilities will include: Strategic Communication:

Develop and deliver communication and marketing strategies that align with the organisational goals and support new business opportunities. Team Leadership:

Manage a team of communications managers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment. Internal Communications:

Create and implement strategies to enhance employee engagement, motivation, and alignment with their goals and values. Content Creation:

Lead the production of regular communications materials, including newsletters, intranet content and presentations. Event Management:

Organise and manage company-wide internal events and initiatives to foster a sense of community and collaboration. External Communications:

Develop and execute strategies to enhance their brand reputation and increase awareness. Media Relations:

Craft compelling content for press releases, media pitches, thought leadership articles, social media, and other external communication channels. Stakeholder Engagement:

Build and maintain relationships with local authority clients, key media contacts, industry influencers, and stakeholders. Crisis Communication:

Act as a spokesperson for the company, handling media enquiries and managing crisis communication situations when necessary. Campaign Management:

Plan and execute targeted communication campaigns for specific stakeholder groups, ensuring effective and timely delivery of key messages. Brand Management:

Ensure consistent brand messaging and visual identity across all internal and external communication channels. The candidate will: Hold a Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field. Possess strong commercial acumen with a solid understanding of business operations. Demonstrate creative problem-solving skills and the ability to think ‘outside the box’. Have excellent writing and editorial skills. Bring extensive experience in internal communications and public affairs. Strong media skills and experience with employee communications. Knowledge of political communications is an advantage.
