17 February 2025 Job Summary The Communications Manager will plan and lead on communications and will promote and protect the Bank’s reputation across all stakeholders. They will lead the communications team to build creative, newsworthy and engaging thought leadership campaigns to further build and develop the reputation of Gatehouse Bank amongst stakeholders and influencers. Key responsibilities

To deliver awareness, understanding and influence that has a measurable commercial impact helping to shape perceptions among our audiences, create opportunities to deepen existing relationships and create valuable new ones. Work with the Head of Communications to identify strategic improvements to the Bank’s communication strategies and guide the implementation of these. Identifying and developing thought leadership opportunities, creating joined up communications campaigns, collaborating with other members of the wider Customer team to activate joined-up, multi-channel content. Facilitate regular meetings between external and internal communications to ensure a joined-up approach and provide direction on upcoming content and campaigns. Planning and overseeing the implementation of the Bank’s PR strategy and activities, through media engagement (briefings, releases, editorial, events, etc) to increase awareness of the Bank and our products and services, within agreed budgets and timescales. To work with and guide the PR & Communications Officer in fostering relationships with national, trade and industry publications and channels to facilitate specialist knowledge discussions and support the commercial ambitions of the Bank. To oversee the Communications Officers in compiling and providing regular reports on all communications activities, achievements, including progress against objectives, budgets and stakeholder engagement. Maintain and develop existing and new media relationships whilst managing and responding appropriately to any media enquiries and guiding the PR & Communications Officer to do the same. Working with the Communications Officers review and manage engaging content is created for the Bank’s social media channels ensuring coverage and key messages are being leveraged. Develop internal spokespeople profiles and provide coaching/media training. Manage and maintain the compliance requirements across all areas of responsibility, ensuring full knowledge and training of requirements. Managing and responding appropriately to any media, social media, or internal enquiry, overseeing that the Communications Officers do the same and providing guidance, where needed. Work with the ESG team to help communicate the Bank’s progression on its ESG strategy and targets. Be a brand champion for the Bank, ensuring all communications and reports accurately and positively reflect our brand values and behaviours. Playing a key role in the Customer team – Collaborating and sharing knowledge and insight with team members and helping them to develop their understanding of Communications. Lead your team by role modelling our ROC values and behaviours. People managers are responsible for completing all colleague life cycle activities such as recruitment; performance review process: providing input and encouraging colleague development with a focus on values, behaviours; wellbeing and to promote and enhance colleague engagement. People managers are also expected to adhere to all policies and procedures and ensure their team function effectively. Any other duties commensurate with the grade and level of responsibility of this post, for which the post holder has the necessary experience and/or training. Skills required

Experience of PR campaigns in financial services. Experience of producing and implementing award-winning PR plans. Ability to identify and promote the value of PR through reports and presentations. Commercial insight and a strategic thinker. Ability to build credible relationships quickly and with integrity – with both external and internal stakeholders. Excellent communication skills both orally and written. Experience of managing external agencies and partnerships. Ability to prioritise and plan workloads effectively. Educated to A level standard or equivalent. A qualification in Public Relations or Communications would be desirable. Beneficial skills and qualifications
