Experience: 5+ years Location: London, UK (3 days in office) Job Type: Full-Time Job Overview : We are seeking a Communication Specialist to support a Data Modernisation Project, responsible for creating and managing content, overseeing communication channels, and ensuring the quality and release of all project communications. You will ensure messaging is clear, user-focused, and aligned with project goals, incorporating User-Centred Design (UCD) principles. Additionally, you will gather stakeholder feedback and communicate insights to the project team to improve engagement. This role requires strong writing and organisational skills, with the ability to manage communications in fast-paced transformation projects. Responsibilities: Document our communications strategy and gain sign off from the customer. Agree the most appropriate communication medium for each of the stakeholders. Understand and align to the companies internal communication release process. Create communication plans that align with the organization’s goals. Tailor strategies to address the specific needs of stakeholders impacted by the transformation program and those requiring awareness of the program. Manage Internal Communications: Draft and distribute internal memos, newsletters, and other communication materials. Keep employees informed about program updates, changes, and milestones. Draft Content for Mass Media or Company Website: Prepare press releases and other content for external dissemination. Ensure consistency in messaging across different media channels. Organize Initiatives and Plan Events: Arrange press conferences, webinars, or other events to communicate program-related information. Coordinate logistics and engage relevant stakeholders. Liaise with Media: Handle media inquiries and requests. Facilitate interviews and provide statements when necessary. Foster Relationships with Advocates and Key Persons: Cultivate positive relationships with influential individuals who can support the program’s success. Collaborate with Marketing Professionals: Work closely with marketing teams to create compelling copy for advertisements or articles related to the transformation program. Address any negative publicity promptly and effectively. Mitigate reputational risks. Assist in Communication of Strategies from Senior Leadership: Translate high-level strategies into clear and actionable messages for various audiences. Qualifications and Skills: Proven Experience as a Communications Specialist: Demonstrated track record in corporate communications. Familiarity with communication best practices. Web Design and Content Production (a Plus): Experience in creating web content and designing communication materials. Copywriting and Editing Skills: Ability to craft compelling and concise messages. Knowledge of project management principles. Proficiency in MS Office: Familiarity with photo and video-editing software is advantageous. Excellent Communication and Presentation Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities. Outstanding Organizational and Planning Abilities: Effective time management and planning skills. Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations, Communications, or a Relevant Field: Educational background related to communication. Industry Experience and Product Implementation: Have experience with transformation programs in the banking and financial sector. Seniority level
