Mastery in the management of a broad range of mental disorders in adults At least 4 years of full-time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a part-time basis) of which at least 2 years will be in a specialty training programme in a relevant specialty or as a fixed term specialty trainee or shall have equivalent experience and competencies. We are currently recruiting to an Adult Psychiatry Specialty Doctor position in the Havering Mental Wellness Team South (MHWT-S), based at Oasis House, 28 - 30 Gubbins Lane, Harold Wood, RM3 0QA. This is an established, substantive, full-time post - 10 PAs. This post is currently vacant, and we wish to recruit to this post as soon as possible. You will join 2wte Adult Consultant Psychiatrists and 1wte Core trainees within the service, and will have the opportunity to influence future direction, treatment, and models of design in the area in which you work. Why Havering? The Havering Directorate is patient focused in their approach, and receptive to new ideas or approaches. Job description: Job responsibilities: Work as part of multidisciplinary teams providing care to adults with mental health needs, across southern Havering. Provide senior medical support to the team, and direct input on clinical cases. Provide guidance and supervision to the team. Work directly with adults and their families and liaise as appropriate with other external mental health providers, and acute hospitals. Work alongside the 2wte Consultant Psychiatrists and 1wte Core Trainee within the service and share clinical supervision requirements with them. Develop links already established with the local acute trusts A& E departments and inpatient wards. Be responsible for patients allocated to them and will assess, manage, plan, and deliver care. Support your peers and the team manager and be an effective team member whilst working on their own initiative. Supervise junior colleagues and liaise with other health and social professionals and agencies. Person Specification: GMC Registration: Essential: Full GMC Registration with a license to practice Qualifications: Essential: Section 12 certification, or a commitment to work towards this.
