DCHS has a fabulous opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to join the Core Community Therapy Team in North East Derbyshire.

The role supports 7-day working and there will be a requirement to cover some weekends and Bank Holidays as part of our Rapid Response service.

There is an exciting opportunity available for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Band 5 Occupational Therapist to join the North East Derbyshire Core Therapy Team.

This role would give the successful applicants the opportunity to experience a variety of clinical settings including our Rapid Response service and our Core Community Team.

Our multi-disciplinary approach to care supports patients with a wide range of conditions including complex comorbidities, palliative care and Frailty.

The successful applicant will require the ability to integrate into different teams and transfer their skills into different clinical settings, so the need to be flexible is essential across Community services.

The successful candidates must be highly motivated with excellent communication skills, have the ability to work on their own initiative, but also be an effective team worker.

You will need to effectively engage with your patients, peer groups, and service users in all elements of your role, leading by example and promoting a supportive and caring culture.

This will require an inclusive, transparent, open approach to your role, whereby you are happy to be accountable to others and to go that extra mile when required. As a key person in the directorate you will act as a role model, be inspirational, dynamic and a courageous individual. DCHS provides a preceptorship programme for newly-qualified staff and is committed to investing in both clinical and leadership development of its staff through a robust process of regular appraisal and supervision.

This post is appropriate for newly qualified Occupational Therapists as extensive preceptorship and mentoring are available.
