An exciting opportunity has arisen for 2 posts based within our Community Children's Nursing service.

You will be supporting children and young people with complex health needs within their homes and across various settings. You will be a RN (child) /RSCN who has had previous experience working with children with complex health needs.

Main duties of the job

To provide high quality nursing care to children and young people. To be responsible for a delegated workload as agreed with the Team Lead and senior Community Children's Nurses. To provide nursing care, advice and support in negotiation with the child and family /carers to meet their individual needs. To assess care needs, plan implement and evaluate individualised programmes of care to meet identified needs in negotiation with children, young people and their families. To manage a nursing caseload with the support of senior nurses.

RN Child/ RSCN Evidence of consolidation experience post registration

Demonstrate relevant and recent post registration experience working within an environment supporting children and young people with both complex/acute health needs

Evidence of continuing education/training The ability to establish good working relationships with families and multidisciplinary team members Experience of liaison with multi-disciplinary team working Awareness of child protection issues Ongoing awareness of recent developments in practice and research including local and national guidelines
