We are currently looking for a Community Development Worker to join our dynamic and passionate team in Nottinghamshire. Immerse yourself in a role that makes a real difference! As a Community Development Worker, you will primarily be home-based with travel around Nottinghamshire. You'll be responsible for promoting POhWER (this will require planning and attending events), supporting advocacy drop-ins and groups, and training individuals to self-advocate. You'll also develop and mentor a team of volunteers to help in these initiatives. Engaging deeply with diverse voluntary organisations and statutory services, your role will be to build and maintain good relationships with our partners, foster community engagement, and promote the support POhWER offers. Hours of Work:

Part-time: 29.6 hours per week, between Monday to Friday, 9 am - 5 pm Location:

Home based with travel around the Nottinghamshire area. (Applicants must live within the area; have a full driver's licence and access to their own transport) Salary:

£18,470.40 (Full Time Equivalent Salary - £23,088.00 per annum, dependent on experience) Contract Type:

Permanent Community Development Worker Requirements:

Proven experience in community engagement and relationship development. Proven experience of planning and running events to promote services. Ideally you will have a background in advocacy, information, or a similar role, preferably in health, social care, or voluntary sectors. An understanding of public and voluntary organisations. Full UK driving licence and access to your own transport, with geographical knowledge of the local area. Passionate about promoting the support of vulnerable adults and driven by shared values in advocacy. Benefits:
