Are you looking for a band 5 Dietitian post which will give you a wide range of nutrition support and enteral feeding experiences? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Dietitian to join our forward thinking, supportive and motivated team of community Dietitians. This post will give you the opportunity to develop your skills working within across Cwm Taf Morgannwg UHB and specifically, Merthyr Tydfil, Cynon and Taf Ely. The role supports our work within a range of clinical areas and includes domiciliary visits, community hospital ward cover, outpatient clinics (virtual and face to face), group education sessions, and training of other professionals. It is a great opportunity for a Dietitian looking for maximum variety in their first or second dietetic role. We are a dynamic team working holistically with multi-agency partners, including medical, social, nursing, AHPs, catering staff, and third sector organisations. The department enjoys a high profile both within the wider Therapies team and across the Health Board. The department fully supports continuing professional development and actively enables this with protected sessions in job plans; we actively support staff to participate and share learning opportunities and experiences. Main duties of the job

To support the provision of health care to the people of the Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board catchment area. To be clinically responsible for a varied caseload made up of adult community patients across their own homes, care homes, day centres, community hospitals services, and adult outpatient clinics. You will have a mixed caseload predominantly supporting patients requiring nutritional support (enteral feeding and oral nutritional support). To ensure CPD opportunities are scheduled for project development including sustainability, digital, frailty, and dementia services but welcome innovative ideas to support your development. To work autonomously and work within professional policies, standards, and conduct as laid down by the British Dietetic Association, the Health Care Professions Council, and Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board Dietetic Department. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply. Please note, the ability to effectively undertake urgent community work by travelling across the health board at short notice is important for this role. About us

Qualifications and/or Knowledge

BSc. Nutrition & Dietetics or Equivalent Dietetic qualification with state registration. Registered with Health Care Professions Council. Postgraduate CPD where applicable Aware of current developments in Dietetic practice Knowledge of current reports and publications relevant to the post Clinical Supervisory Skills Training Appreciation of factors influencing the health of the local population. Experience

Experience of managing mixed clinical caseload Aptitude and Abilities

Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) Good motivational skills Computer literate with keyboard skills Good analytical skills Logical approach to problem solving Ability to speak Welsh Other

Ability to travel throughout community and UHB sites in a timely manner. Physically able to undertake anthropometrical measurement of patients (weighing/measuring) Disclosure and Barring Service Check
