Looking for a traineeship to develop your own skills and knowledge to enable you to assist with the planning, preparation and delivery of community engagement and education projects across the North Pennines?

Temporary for 12 months.

WHAT IS INVOLVED? You will work on the Land of Lead and Silver project to help deliver a varied and inspiring education, engagement and community event programme to hundreds of people, including young people, in and around the North Pennines.

You will also be enabled and encouraged to influence current and future opportunities to increase this impact, whilst developing your own knowledge and gaining a wide range of skills and experience in engagement delivery.

All trainees will receive a range of development opportunities including an induction programme, on-the-job experience and formal training courses. Each trainee has a training budget which they can choose how best to spend to meet their needs and development interests.

WHAT WILL I NEED? You will need to have 4 GCSE's or equivalent together with having experience of working or volunteering with members of the public and of working independently and managing own time.

HYBRID WORKING Durham County Council currently operates a hybrid working policy where a model of 2 days in the workplace and 3 days at home/remote will apply. This model is pro-rated for part time roles and arrangements are at managers discretion, alternatively you can work all of your contracted hours within the workplace if you prefer.
