Once your pre-employment checks have been completed, you will be contacted by Recruitment to arrange your start date, which will be in line with one of our Corporate Inductions. You will be expected to attend the Trust's Clinical Induction Programme for Clinical Support Workers (which starts on the first day of employment). The programme is full-time, lasts for two weeks, and will involve travelling to both Trust sites. The programme includes 2 supernumerary shifts in the clinical area; all of the other days are classroom-based and run from 9 am to 5 pm. Qualifications
Experience in Maternity, ideally in a community setting. GCSE maths grade A*/9 - C/4 or Functional Skills maths level 2. NVQ/Diploma level 3 in Healthcare or an equivalent healthcare qualification (competencies must have been assessed in a healthcare environment). Knowledge & Experience
Can compare basic test results to normal values. Able to recognise trends. Previous experience in a maternity setting. Current healthcare issues. Skills
Able to read, write and perform simple calculations. Good communication skills (written and verbal). Can understand and communicate factual and accurate information. Good interpersonal skills. Ability to prioritise workload with supervision. Can demonstrate practical skills to others. Is a positive role model. Disclosure and Barring Service Check
