We currently have a vacancy for a full-time Band 5 Community Mental Health Practitioner within our HMR Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) based at Hanson Corner in Middleton. We are a Community Mental Health Team that works with adults age 18 years upwards. The post is currently based within the Care Coordination function of The Heywood & Middleton CMHT based at Hanson Corner, Middleton. However, you may be expected to work within any function of the three HMR CMHTs in line with the service requirements. You will have a defined caseload and also be expected to participate on the team's duty rota. This is a full-time post working core hours of Monday to Friday 08:45-16:45 hrs. Some flexibility will be required with working hours due to the nature of the role and when covering the duty service. PARIS training would be an advantage; however, training will be provided if required. You will be working as part of a very experienced team, and this opportunity would make a good pathway for anyone wishing to pursue or develop a career in community mental health. What pre-employment checks will I need to complete? By conducting pre-employment checks, the recruitment team will verify that you meet the pre-conditions of the role you have been offered. Pre-employment checks will be carried out according to NHS Employment Check Standards. The checks are:

Identity verification Right to work check Disclosure and barring service (DBS)/Criminal record check (dependent on role) Professional registration and/or qualification check Occupational health assessment Employment history and reference validation All applicants external to NHS will be required to provide HMRC employment history to cover the most recent three years. This information will be used to validate employment history and references as part of pre-employment checks. If you are offered a position and you require sponsorship to support your right to work, we will review your eligibility in line with government guidance. If the role you have been offered is not eligible for sponsorship, and you are not able to evidence your right to work, your conditional offer could be withdrawn. What happens when pre-employment checks are complete? Recruitment will liaise with you and the hiring manager to arrange a start date for your new position.
