An excellent opportunity has arisen to come and be part of our dynamic Occupational Therapy service. As a service, we have developed innovative ways of delivering occupational therapy in the Guildford Community Mental Health Recovery Services to support people in their recovery journey, including a variety of occupationally focused programmes. The post constitutes a 50% delivery of Occupational Therapy interventions and a 50% of care coordination/lead professional for people with occupational needs. The post will include delivering both individual and group occupational therapy interventions within a clear care pathway. These interventions include: Occupation Matters Programme

We use the Model of Human Occupation to guide all our occupational therapy assessments and interventions. We focus on embedding occupational science and neuroscience into our practice. The occupational therapy leadership team is committed to an extensive, coordinated CPD programme including a robust supervision structure, care group meetings, Trust-wide and core competence training, and an annual conference. Staff are valued for their expertise in occupationally focused interventions and specialist group therapy. This post is suitable if you have previous experience of working in mental health, want to consolidate your knowledge of occupational therapy, and deliver high-quality, evidence-based, outcome-measured occupational therapy interventions. This post also gives you an opportunity to develop skills in care coordinating service users with an occupational therapy focus and being part of the assessment team. Qualifications
Occupational Therapy professional qualification (HCPC) Valid UK driving license and access to a car for work purposes Completion of a Fieldwork Educators' course Experience
Experience of using multiple occupational frames of reference and approaches Experience of using relevant occupational therapy assessment and implementing interventions Experience in applying knowledge of the impact of health and disability on occupational performance, participation, and identity Evidence of an interest and skills in a specialist area Evidence of clinical reasoning skills Experience of contributing to service development/project work Experience as a supervisor Experience of group facilitation Experience of supporting students on placement Disclosure and Barring Service Check
