The Integrated Community Team is looking for skilled individuals with phlebotomy experience to join us in our community nursing service. We are looking for Band 2 Phlebotomists who will be part of a team delivering a high-quality service to housebound patients supporting referrals from our local partners. We are a cohesive team who are supportive, caring, and passionate about delivering excellent patient care. As a phlebotomist, you will work closely with nursing colleagues and the referral center to deliver a phlebotomy service Monday to Friday. This is an exciting opportunity for those seeking a rewarding and varied phlebotomy role within the community environment. Main Duties of the Job

The role of the phlebotomist is to provide a service to support community nursing within the Integrated Community Team (ICT). To ensure patients are able to access timely venepuncture as a result of an appropriately completed request from a clinician. Demonstrate an awareness of physical, psycho-social, cultural, and environmental needs of patients and their family/carer when in patients' homes. Obtain high-quality blood samples from patients in the home environment. Responsible for planning day-to-day work tasks and activities within an occasionally unpredictable environment. Experience

Experience of working in a healthcare setting with patients. Experience in venepuncture. Experience of Community Working. Qualifications

GCSE level pass or equivalent in Maths and English. Completion of Venepuncture training and competency. NVQ in a relevant topic (such as healthcare) or other relevant training. Professional/Specialist Experience

Knowledge of common blood test requests and processes. Disclosure and Barring Service Check
