Join our dedicated and friendly Community Phlebotomy Service, where you will provide compassionate care to patients in their homes and community clinics. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality, patient-centred care and are seeking motivated Community Phlebotomists for our teams based in Knowsley, Liverpool, or Sefton. The successful candidates must be willing to travel to work at other sites/geographical areas if needed. Various posts are available; we offer full and part-time positions with a minimum of 18.75 hours per week. We are unable to guarantee set days in our service. Main Duties of the Job

The post holder is expected to work effectively as a team member of the community phlebotomy service, ensuring a reliable, responsive, and quality blood collection service. Actively participate and contribute to team working in response to service developments and the business plan. Work within the community (e.g., within a patient’s own home) as a lone practitioner with telephone support. Seek advice and support from a more senior colleague for matters outside your sphere of responsibility, knowledge, or skills. Work independently in a busy clinic environment ensuring that patients receive blood tests on time and manage patient flow. Obtain informed consent from the patient to treatment and the sharing of information, documenting in accordance with Trust procedures. Use the IT system to document the outcome of appointments. Customer care experience or experience as a carer/HCA. Basic understanding of the needs of the patient and the role of the Phlebotomist. Willingness to develop clinical skills and competency relevant to the role. Demonstrated motivation, reliability, and commitment to team working. Flexible and reliable, valuing the opinions of others. Willingness to undergo education/training for practice and service needs. Understanding of primary care and/or GP surgery. Understanding of confidentiality and its practical implications in this role. Understanding of personal health and safety responsibilities. Must either be Hepatitis B immune or be willing to undergo an immunisation course. Understanding of accountability and delegation. Understanding of the complaints procedure. Experience of working in a care environment. Understanding of the meaning of Improving Working Lives. Understanding/experience of lone community working. Qualifications

Basic literacy and numeracy skills. Basic computer experience. NVQ 2 or willingness to undertake. Skills
