We are looking for someone with great admin skills who is also passionate about patient care. This is a challenging role and successful candidates will need to be enthusiastic, motivated and have a flexible approach. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required. Main duties of the job

The main duties are to provide reception and administrative support for the smooth running of clinical community services based in a range of community settings. The post holder will be familiar with a full range of administrative tasks and provide outstanding customer service, accuracy and attention to detail. The post holder will need to be flexible to meet the demands of the service and may be required to work from any community healthcare base in Stockport according to the needs of the service. Be the first point of contact for visitors to the building, providing information and directions, meet and greet. Answer enquiries via phone, email or face to face in relation to patient care. Provide a full range of administrative tasks using IT skills in Microsoft packages ensuring a high standard of accuracy and attention to detail. Work in close liaison with NHS colleagues, patients and the public. Access and update patient records via the Electronic Patient Record system. Work as part of a team and carry out tasks set by the Assistant Business Support Manager. Be conversant with all the services offered within the integrated care business group. Knowledge of the Data Protection Act, Patient Confidentiality, Risk Management and Health and Safety Procedures. Complete all Mandatory Training and E-Learning as required. Undertake collation of data to assist in audits at community sites as directed by the Assistant Business Support Manager. Support the Assistant Business Support Manager in the smooth running of the services provided in the community healthcare setting. Provide cover across Stockport during periods of colleagues' annual leave and sickness absences. The Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. If successful, this vacancy will require a Standard DBS check at a cost of £26.50, which will be deducted from your first Trust salary. It will also be a condition of your employment that you will join the DBS update service and pay the annual subscription fee of £16. Person Specification

Education & Qualifications

English and Maths, GCSE, CSE, O-Level, level 2 or A-C or above, or equivalent qualifications, or equivalent experience. RSA/ECDL/IT Qualification or equivalent. Knowledge

Experience of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel. General knowledge of office/administration procedures. Knowledge of NHS Environment. Experience

Customer service or reception experience. Prior experience in an administrative role. Experience of working in a healthcare role. Skills & Abilities

Good written and verbal skills. Ability to use own initiative. Ability to prioritise own workload. Excellent attention to detail. Car driver / ability to travel. Flexibility to cope with changing needs of the job. Disclosure and Barring Service Check
