The focus of District Nursing is to support patients towards self-management, enabling them to continue to live as full and productive a life as possible, through education, equipment, and lifestyle changes. We also have the privilege of supporting people and their families at the end of their lives, working in close liaison with the Hospice Teams and Specialist Palliative Care Nurses. Providing a high standard of care to patients in their own home or clinic environment, this will include a number of clinical competencies.
