The Community Stroke Rehabilitation Team (CSRT) is looking for an enthusiastic administrator to join a large, busy multi-disciplinary team. We are an integral part of the stroke pathway, providing early supported discharge for stroke patients going through the PHU stroke pathway. Your main role will be to provide efficient and accurate administration support for the team and a range of clinical staff. You must thrive in a fast-paced environment and show initiative and excellent organisational skills. You will have the opportunity to be involved in a number of service improvement projects. The post is mainly based in CSRT offices with occasional home working. The hours are to be worked over 4/5 days Monday to Friday with flexibility on specific hours. Main duties of the job

Key Responsibilities: Dealing with daily telephone enquiries from patients and professionals, recognising the need for tact, consideration, and confidentiality. Liaise with GP surgeries, other departments, and other hospitals regarding queries acting within the scope of competence. Issuing of Clinic letters and correspondence using Microsoft Word and EPRO; maintaining databases using Microsoft Excel. Manage & book 6-week reviews for patients. Ensure Take list dates are kept up to date and communication from patients and staff is recorded in a timely manner. Assist with the preparations of weekly planning sheets ready for the team to plan patient visits for the following week. Make onward patient referrals as per clinicians' requests to a variety of agencies. Prioritise and respond to all incoming correspondence including paper and electronic mail enabling the team to effectively prioritise their workloads. Assist with data gathering for project work, including presenting the data in different formats, i.e., charts, presentations, etc. Manage data set for national stroke audit database. Use of Hospital software packages such as PAS, ICE, EPRO and Minestrone. Organisation and scanning of documents and collating notes. Provide accurate minute taking for Team meetings. Assist with stock management and ordering for the department. Work as an effective member of the interdisciplinary team and participate in updating the Take list during MDT. Report adverse incidents in accordance with Trust policy. Person Specification

Qualifications

BTEC or equivalent (NVQ) Level 2 qualification in Business Administration; English and Maths qualification at Level 2. Experience

Experience of working with people in a caring setting and a multidisciplinary team. Experience working as part of a team. Experience within a hospital setting. Minimum of 1 year experience as a Band 2 administrator in a hospital setting. Skills and Knowledge

Ability to work as part of a team and to work safely under own initiative. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including by telephone. Respect for confidentiality. Knowledge of health and social care issues. European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL). Disclosure and Barring Service Check
