Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing assistance and support to our previously homeless companions, helping them to achieve their personal goals and enhance their quality of life. This position requires a commitment to fostering independence and dignity for those we serve. Responsibilities Provide personal care and support to individuals, including assistance with daily living activities such as job applications, cooking, domestic skills, financial management, setting up bank accounts, and enhancing their employability. Support clients in accessing community resources and services, promoting social inclusion and engagement. Assist with the development and implementation of individual plans tailored to the specific needs of each client. Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in health or behaviour to the appropriate personnel. Foster a safe and supportive environment by adhering to health and safety regulations, including safeguarding policies. Encourage clients to participate in recreational activities that promote well-being and social interaction. Qualifications Previous experience in a support role is desirable but not essential; training will be provided. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively document client interactions and progress. A compassionate approach with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in various situations. A valid driving licence may be advantageous for community-based roles. Understanding of confidentiality and data protection principles is essential.
