Community Support Worker for the Wirral area. This is a domiciliary care role, visiting people in their own homes, and you will work alongside another Community Support Worker as part of a team. There are also sitting services available as part of this role; providing companionship to service users; in addition to the domiciliary care visits. While being a driver would be advantageous and open up more opportunities for work, it is a preference but not a necessity for this role, as you will be working alongside other members of the team who drive. The provisional shift patterns for this particular vacancy incorporate a share of breakfast and lunchtime visits as well as teatime and bedtime visits along with some 'sits'. Therefore, we need someone who can accommodate around 15-20 hours per week for the domiciliary care provision and preferably some extra hours for the 'sits'. The shift patterns available are 7:45am-1:30pm and 3:30pm-10pm. You will also need to be able to work weekends on a 'fair share' basis with the rest of the team, so ideally you will be available to work every other weekend (i.e. one weekend per fortnight). Duties include: Prompting/supporting with personal care and dressing (which could include assistance with intimate personal care). Support with light household duties, including laundry, shopping, cleaning and light meal preparation. Assisting with medication – this could be collecting prescriptions, prompting, or administering medication. Accompanying to medical appointments if needed. Companionship services. What can we offer you: An hourly rate of £12.00 Weekly or monthly pay, depending on your preference Permanent contracted hours – no zero hours contracts Part-time or Full-time opportunities Travel time paid at £11.44 per hour Mileage paid at 20p per mile Free Enhanced DBS check Free uniform and full PPE provided Paid induction training and paid shadowing out in the field Free Employee Assistance Programme Learning and Development opportunities to support your career goals Excellent career progression opportunities Smartphone app to easily keep in touch and up to date Refer-a-Friend Scheme (Ts&Cs apply) Do I need previous experience? While advantageous, we do not ask for any formal qualifications or previous experience of working within the care sector, as we provide comprehensive induction training. This includes paid job-shadowing of an experienced, senior, team member. We are more interested in your attitudes and values, along with your ability to demonstrate a genuine passion for helping people to lead independent lives in their own home. This will be assessed via your application and at interview. Who are My Care My Home? We are all about building lasting relationships and ensuring that you have plenty of time at each visit to provide the level of service that we pride ourselves on, and on which we have built our enviable reputation.
