An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced midwife to develop and lead a community midwifery team in Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire.

The post holder will be working alongside 4 other team leaders to provide leadership within a community midwifery team.

You will be supported to develop and enhance your skills whilst working collaboratively with the wider leadership team.

Responsibilities:

Continuing 24-hour responsibility for the management of the community midwifery team including assessment of care needs. Development, implementation, and evaluation of programmes of care and the setting of standards. Facilitate innovative and evidence-based nursing/midwifery practice through professional leadership and support the clinical team. Act as a credible and professional role model and encourage and empower other staff to develop personally and professionally. Liaise with all members of the multidisciplinary team and facilitate a collaborative approach to patient care. Participate in the on-call rota for homebirth and escalation purposes.
