Language Insight is looking for an enthusiastic, experienced and motivated Company Accountant.

This is a full time position is based in Preston (Lancashire) Monday to Friday 9:00am – 5:30pm.

During the initial training period, working from our Preston office will be required 5 days per week.

After the training period has concluded, three days working from home per week will be permitted, with the other two days working from the office.

We will be aiming to select the right candidate for a start toward the end of January, start of February 2025.

What does the role involve? The Company Accountant will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial health and operational efficiency of Language Insight, contributing to the company’s reputation as a market leader in the translation industry.

This position will encompass a blend of strategic financial leadership and hands-on operational management, ensuring seamless integration of financial practices with the company’s global objectives.

As part of the role, you will be responsible for : Budgeting, forecasting, monitoring and variance analysis Treasury Management in multiple currencies / repatriation Financial modelling of new opportunities/business threats HMRC Compliance VAT, PAYE, NI, Corporation Tax, P11 D, FPS, EPS, Personal Tax Companies House Compliance, Confirmation Statement Filing, Annual Accounts Filing ONS Compliance, Annual Survey of Goods and Services, Payroll Survey VOA compliance, Biennial Valuation Office Survey Processing Sales Ledger Invoices / Purchase Ledger invoices Managing volume payments to suppliers on monthly basis Pensions Regulator compliance / Workplace pension Production of monthly Management Information Production of Year End Accounts and associated working papers, dealing with queries from Accountants Bank reconciliations / Current Accounts / Invoice Finance / Credit control / bad debt Cash flow forecasting Managing the UK company’s Payroll Sign off the company’s overseas Payrolls via in-country providers Managing Sales Ledger via Invoice Discounting product Supporting Senior Leaders with ad hoc financial information to support e.g.

R& D Claims Posting of journal entries Credit card and petty cash reconciliation Required skills are needed for this role? Chartered accountant qualified 3 years’ experience in similar role Advanced MS Excel user, with further MS Office experience Working knowledge of XERO and/or Quick Books online Short term/medium term/long term financial planning Excellent written and oral communication.
