About the team Our Reward team is a high performing team who form a key part of the overall People (HR) function. The contribution the team makes helps shape Laing O'Rourke's teams by creating competitive packages to attract and retain top talent across our organisation. As well as pay, the team shape and manage our company's benefits strategy as well as providing global mobility support. What will you be doing? This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with experience in Reward, with robust analytical abilities and a drive to help shape and implement pay strategy. The primary focus will be on a new job evaluation system, pay analysis and benchmarking. Duties include: Support in development of a new pay and total reward strategy. Assist with job evaluation, evaluating new and existing roles for appropriate job families, levels and salary ranges. Assist with analysis of external market data to benchmark roles to ensure compensation packages remain competitive. Support the successful delivery of the annual salary review, as well as promotion, merit, and market adjustment requests. Conduct in-depth analysis during the annual salary review to guide and support compensation decisions. Analyze compensation data to create regular, ad-hoc, and formal reports for the team and internal stakeholders, including preparation of regulatory disclosures such as gender pay gap and ethnicity pay gap. Provide support to the Reward Manager & Head of Reward with the implementation of total reward strategy, policy, and practice. Essential Technical Capabilities Experience with an analytical job evaluation system. Advanced understanding of Microsoft Excel. Comfortable drafting documents in Word and PowerPoint. Desirable capabilities Good awareness of GDPR requirements. Experience with SuccessFactors. Knowledge of global mobility requirements desirable. Experience of common employee benefits. The position will be based out of our Dartford office and prioritises time with our people.
