CompEx Electrician - Leeds
- Workshop based with travel to other sites and locations as required. 6 month Contract.
Responsibilities: Work in accordance with technical electrical drawings and instructions for fabrication and installation of cable containment and cabling. Ensure the electrical installation is in compliance with the relevant British standards including the latest revisions. Understand the types of work to be carried out (installation of cable containment tray/ladder, installation & termination of SWA cables, earthing & bonding, lighting, etc.). Undertake electrical installation work in hazardous areas. Conduct CompEx inspections as per IEC requirements. Understand and adhere to RAMS. Ensure working areas are kept in a safe, clean, and tidy condition. Work in accordance with technical drawings & schedules. Attend and engage in regular toolbox talks with electrical installation personnel.
Minimum Requirements: Qualified to 18th Edition. NVQ Level 3 minimum. Previously worked on industrial installations (e.g., chemical, pharma, water, industrial machinery). Apprentice trained / NVQ Level qualification. JIB Gold Card. Health & safety awareness. CompEx 01-04. Ability to read schematic, block cable, and loop drawings. Experience in the installation of cable containment systems, tray/ladder. Experience in the termination of cables into MCC/control panels and motors, instrumentation & valves.
