This role as a Complex Care Assistant (Waking Nights) involves providing high-quality, complex care to a client in their home during the overnight hours. This individual lives at home with his family and beloved dog. He enjoys watching his favourite television series and movies, as well as writing online blogs and reviews. He is a big fan of wrestling shows and stars, but he understands if others don't share his passion and is willing to educate them. This young man requires assistance to live his daily life in a way that promotes independence and autonomy. A well-established team of carers is currently in place, and they are seeking a new staff member to complete the team. During the night, there is time for staff to relax and engage in conversation with him while he writes and prepares for bed.
Supporting you Being a Sonderwell carer isn’t just about caring. It’s about being good with people, too – being able to gain the trust of clients and their families. That’s why, if you have a caring personality and some relevant experience, we’ll give you access to online and classroom training in specific complex care needs, as well as the chance to study for a relevant NVQ. Depending on the client, you may be working on your own or part of a team. If you wish and have the availability, you could provide support to more than one client. Before you start, you’ll have the chance to meet your client and their family. And when you do, you’ll have day-to-day support with a Care Co-ordinator or Nurse Manager always on hand to answer your questions.
