Complex Care Support Worker (Part time Flexible) We have an exciting opportunity for a committed Part time Support Worker to join our team in Middlesbrough. In this position, you will deliver exceptional care and support to our young client with complex health needs and a wheelchair user, prioritizing their comfort, safety, and overall well-being.

Main duties of the job The ideal candidate should have prior experience in care with a solid background in following care plans and protocols, demonstrating confidence in their role, as well as taking a compassionate and caring approach towards the client. The support worker will be responsible for delivering personalized care, assisting with daily living activities, administering medication, providing emotional support, and collaborating with healthcare professionals and family members.

Job responsibilities Given the personal care requirements, we are looking for a female support worker. The ideal candidate should be able to drive.

Working Hours:

Hours required: 4 hours on Wednesdays (10am- 2pm). However, the hours will increase as it's a gradual process.

Key Responsibilities:

Delivering personalised care and support to clients with complex health conditions.

Assisting with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, driving to school, and daily trips.

Administering medication and monitoring health conditions.

Providing emotional support and companionship.

Maintaining accurate records of care provided and reporting any changes in clients’ conditions.

Collaborating with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care.

Requirements:

Care experience essential with a good grounding.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Flexibility to work the specified hours.

Able to drive with a valid UK license.
