Why this role is important to us Working as a member of the Compliance Advisory Team in a Second Line of Defence (2LoD) capacity, you will lead in providing practical, pro-active compliance advice to the Experian Consumer Services division of the business, assisting the First Line of Defence (1LoD) to manage regulatory risk aligning to our risk appetite. Reporting into our UK Compliance Manager. What you'll need to bring and do in your role: An understanding of the regulatory requirements of a Credit Reference Agency. An underpinning of the regulatory requirements under CONC, Payment Services, Open Banking and GDPR. Analysis to understand and interpret laws, regulations and policies into meaningful advice (required). Support First Line teams to identify, document and improve instances of non-adherence to policy by providing expert regulatory advice on associated risks and remediation activity to enhance the maturity of the control environment. Skills to challenge to regulatory risks raised by the First Line teams whilst helping ensure senior management have an accurate view on the level of regulatory risks in their areas. Qualifications Provide compliance advice on projects, acquisitions, product development and bids and tenders, including supporting agile product development processes with timely and comprehensive regulatory advice. Work with Advisory Team members and First Line operational Risk Managers to identify areas of high regulatory and conduct risk and help develop the control environment ensuring identified areas of regulatory risk are reported and escalated to operational Risk Management Committees along with other appropriate governance forums.
