COMPLIANCE AUDITOR - NEWCASTLE
Are you an experienced Compliance Auditor looking for a new challenge?
You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that practices, records, and controls are in strict compliance with regulations and accreditation requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Planning and conducting monthly quality audits on fee earners, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards. Performing thorough risk assessments and internal control evaluations, reporting any discrepancies. Creating and maintaining a comprehensive quality log, identifying trends and training needs. Collaborating and liaising with stakeholders to calibrate audits, implement best practices, and drive performance improvements. Analysing historical data to develop quality improvement initiatives and strategies. Evaluating audit findings and ensuring the implementation of corrective actions in collaboration with supervisors. Contributing to team meetings with insightful communications and managing firm-wide performance. Executing interpretations of regulatory requirements and quality standards. Ensuring random and focused audits are performed and completed promptly. Preparing detailed quality reports for senior management and other key stakeholders. Assisting the Head of Risk and Compliance and COLP with preparations for external audits and compliance assessments. Monitoring the implementation of external audit recommendations and executing remedial actions. Staying informed about the latest sector regulations and best practices in internal auditing. The ideal candidate will have experience in a regulated environment, preferably within the legal sector. Strong research and analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities are essential. While a qualification in this area is advantageous, it is not mandatory.
